Was a joke, yes?

That pin is called the hand torsion lever pin.
It, and the torsion spring that lives in the middle of the trigger, is what keeps tension on the hand, as it rotates the cylinder.
Very necessary.
Make sure the spring isn't lost.
Its a very little coil spring with arms in both directions.
