Yep. As I've mentioned here before, I used to come across that all the time on Eglin AFB. The majority of the headless buck (or backstrap-less doe) carcasses were just outside city limits of the
wonderful town of
Holley.
Jackson Guard (land managers/rangers) claimed to have no idea why the deer were doing so poorly in that area, but anyone within 20 miles knew the problem was rampant poaching.
