I realize its been a couple weeks...
First off, if I was your team leader and found out you asked the internet this, I would kick you in the teeth. Same goes for asking top. You have a team leader for a reason, and if that fails, a squad leader.
That being said, some solid advice here but for the love of god don't put an ACOG or a CCO on a 249. It will just slow the time it takes for you to go from patrolling to firing your first burst and will make transitions and corrections slower.
