Just aquired my grandpa's old Springfield 30-40 Krag. Apparently back in the 50's it took down it's fair share of deer. Looks like it's been tapped for a scope I think and the "Williams" rear site looks a lot newer than the gun to me. Haven't found out much about the gun though, anybody have info? I'm curious when it was made, where, value, etc. Can't wait to try it out, have a bunch of really really really old ammo that came with it.
