The gun industry has done a very good job convincing people they need to get a small, light pocket sized gun in order to carry a gun. Look at all the mini 380 auto and 9mms.
People have been carrying P228s, Glock 19s, Commander 1911, P220 etc.... for years without issue.
I agree 100% anyone carrying anything needs to invest in a good belt and a good holster. They make a world of difference.
