Remington 597 HB TH MZ
Recently picked up a few (3) 597s at the local Cabela's. It appears that these were a limited run by Rem. for Cabela's. They feature OD Green syn stocks, 16" heavy barrel, threaded muzzle, and scope rail. I grabbed 3 because they were clearance at $199. I have never shot a 597 so I'm looking to get your thoughts on them. I'm a newb here on the firing line forums, but not to the firearms world. How will this compare to my 10/22 takedown? I added a simmons 4x32 scope and a blackhawk bi-pod after fitting it with sling swivels. The other 2 will probably be gifts for someone(s).
