Haven't used it yet. In their new 2000 Basic Reloading Manual that is given away at many stores, Hodgdon describes the new spherical Longshot powder as "the most versatile heavey field propellant Hodgdon has ever produced....This propellant provides true magnum velocities with superb patterns. In addition, LONGSHOT is the best choice for competitors shooting "race" games such as "Buddy" shoots, "Annie Oakleys" and more."
In their usage chart they show it between HS-7 and H110, used for target loads in 12, 20, and 28 ga, and heavy field loads for 10, 12, 20, and 28 ga.
I picked this one out for you using some common components.
12ga 2 3/4" Win AAhulls, CCI209M primer, WAA12 wad, 30.9gr of LONGSHOT, pushing 1 1/8 oz should give approx 1420 fps at 10,000 psi.
