Yes. One night, after the stores have closed, you will be reloading when that damned 9 volt battery will die on you. It will only do this at night when you don't have any extra 9 volt batteries in the house. (Murphy's Law

) Then you will be glad that you still have it around. I know this because it has happened to my dad twice. (He can't get a divorce from Murphy

) He told me to keep mine around if I ever get an electronic scale for this reason.
