Yeah I highly doubt it will cycle your gun. It could be useful for some reduced power loads for plinking but plan on manually cycling the action. I've done the exact same thing with Alliant 2400 for .223 Remington. Download a copy of Alliants 2004 load manual, they have 2400 loads for 30-06 and that would be a good place to start with AA2200 being that it is a slower burning powder. Better than using 7.62x39mm load data in my mind.
