I have a somewhat related question. im pretty much the same as ChristopherG, except I ordered a Remington 1858 in .44. I live in upstate newyork, and I researched the laws and i found its perfectly legal for me to posess it and all. however if i fire it, its a felony. Why? well what i mean is what is the "proper licensing" that I need?
