They are both nice rifle. I would also put the Marlin 60 in the mix. I would shoulder each rifle and you will know which fits best for you.I have all three rifles and then some. My go to rifle is the Marlin 60, and second place is the Savage. My Ruger's rarely do anything except collect dust. The Marlin & Ruger eject Remington and Winchester sub-sonics, but will not eject CCI Quiet Rounds. Enjoy your quest!
