On hard cast, I've never read a single post of someone recovering a deformed FMJ from any tested material other than a rock hit round dug out of dirt.

If a copper FMJ doesn't deform even on bone, what does hard cast different? Absolutely nothing at all. In fact, hard cast can fracture/shatter.
