Didn't see the movie, but since this is a "What If" scenario, I'd have to go with the AR15 with a few 30rd mags, if it will take out a coyote, it'll take down a wolf, both are thin skinned. As for my handgun, I'd like my FNP-45 with 6 15rd mags for that.
