There aren't any bad ones. The Rossi's are good guns if a little rough. The Italians are a little better and cost more. The Winchesters and Brownings are among the best leverguns produced in recent history. The Brownings of the `80's and `90's were true to the originals, the Winchesters of recent years have a rebounding hammer and tang safety. All excellent rifles made by Miroku of Japan. The 1892 is the strongest traditional levergun action this side of the 1886. Capable of digesting loads that would grenade a Winchester or Marlin 94.

Check out http://www.leverguns.com for articles and Bud's Gunshop for some great prices on these guns. REALLY tempted to buy that $450 .480 Puma!
