I know these rounds are pathetic to some people, but to others they are what can be comfortably handled. Spend enough time making a living with your hands and using them as hammers and pry bars and some day you may come to appreciate the recoilless rounds as well.
I work out every morning and am in decent shape. But time has neccessitated a change from free weights to bowflex as free weights just stress my joints too badly. I have gone from shooting 45/70 contenders and hot 45 Colt rounds in Rugers to 22's. Amazing what tendonitis and a touch of arthritis can do. Don't poo-poo these rounds to hard as some day you may see the need for them too.
