S&W made some 2" J frames in .22 with an adjustable rear sight. I expect they are deadly accurate if the shooter can do his part. I once had a 3" Model 36, 2" groups off sandbags no problem but standing on my hind feet was another story. I would try to find the .22 and learn to shoot it. Most of us can't do 2" 25 yard groups off hand with a 6" K-22. You do need adjustable sights.
