I had one issued to me in '74 when I joined the Anchorage Police Dept. 4".

I retired in '94 and they gave me the gun. I've shot the heck out of it, pretty heavy loads. After all these years it still shoots.

I will admit I've gone to my 6 inch Model 27 for bowling pins. The 28 worked OK, but the extra 2 inch sight radius seems to help a bit.

Still for a good old heavy working gun,can't beat a Model 28.
