That must have been a soft barrel or something.
There was a fellow at the range one day, who had a 44Magnum Marlin 94 with a big dent at the corner of the front of the barrel.
He had done the same thing, dropping the gun muzzle down on concrete.
But the rifle shot just as good as always.
