Don't believe so. The dust cover portion of the frame does not share the same dimensions. But someone correct me if I'm mistaken.

Added : Wait, just reread the question...AFAIK, 3rd gen slide to 4th gen frame = No. 4th gen slide to 3rd gen frame = not sure.
