I'VE been a LONG time 10MM NORMA shooter [ yep, owner every such gun imaginable except Tanfoglio, including having had built a custom 10MM Single Action sixgun...it never misses... ] and had cases upon cases of that ammo along with everything manufactured in the USA also [ still gotta lot left over...]
The Norma ammo made specs pretty handily. The 200GR FMJ was right on the money and would put 10MM holes damn near in anything in need of one.
The Norma 170GR load was pretty much on spec also but that JHP bullet would not expand on any thing softer than a Tiger Tank !!! The Norma 10MM brass was the pick-of-the-litter until the FEderal and Starline came on the market.
I still believe the 10MM NORMA is the best pistol cartridge design since the 41MAG in 1964. It is a steller autoloading pistol cartridge and shoots beautifully and very powerfully from good revolvers. TOO DAMNED BAD it was wussyfied by most of the ammo makers for the most stupid of reasons.
