No implication was intended ... or needed; Ayoob simply believes firing pin locks are a necessity. Here is an
entire article in which Ayoob writes specifically about the necessity of firing pin locks to make 1911s "drop safe."

Johnny (and you) rather than Ayoob about the safety of 1911s without firing pin locks.
