The pawn shop won't give out the name of the buyer (you wouldn't want them to give out your name) but maybe they will allow you to post a notice on their bulletin board, or you can put an ad in a local paper. But you will have to post a significant reward to get anyone to pay attention.
Your best bet would be to buy a similar rifle and say it "is like" your grandpaw's gun. In a few years, the "like" will get lost.
