Absolutely agree with the OP's sentiments.

Whilst I enjoy shooting all my guns, none of them seem to elicit from me the grin factor of .22LR, be it from my own CZ bolt, or my Ruger MkIII semi auto pistol.

So often, I look at a .22 cartridge and think of my times with it and think: why do I even both with the rest?

OK: a bit extreme. The "rest" is going nowhere, but you get my point...
