I was wondering about it. In this day and age of light weight polymer 9mms, etc is there an excuse for a full size, all steel 1911 in 9mm?

Who EDCs one?...if it was the only gun I had I would easily make-do but prefer something lighter and smaller for carry. My carry 1911 is a LW Commander in .45. I have one more 1911. A Springfield Mil-Spec, also .45 and I love it but don't carry it concealed very often.

I suppose at 40 plus ounces, if reliable, an all steel, 9mm 1911 would make an excellent, low recoil target pistol.
