Indoor ranges are usually limited to low power lead (not jacketed) bullets, the reasons being protection of the steel backstop and less noise, so it would be better to learn the rules of the range before investing in a gun.

While lead bullets (non-jacketed) are available for both 9mm and .45ACP, factory ammo is not, so a source, or handloading, may be needed. may be Good luck!
