Does anyone know when and where you can purchase a "post" recall ACR from a gun shop? I don't feel like going to an online store because I can't get a face-to-face confirmation that the rifle had already been through the recall modifications.

Working at a gun store I can tell you it's very hard to say. In some cases they won't be very aggressive with recalls through dealers.. won't know for a few days. About the best option is to ask Bushmaster the serial number range prior to the recall.... and look for a gun with a serial after that.
