update on previous post, I usually carry my 7-08 here in the NH woods due to the fact my 2 rifles chambered in that caliber are tack drivers, (model 7, x bolt) and they are easy carrys to my stand locations. I hadnt been seeing any deer yet this season, (6 sits and no deer) so yesterday morning I decided to carry my inherited 25-06 for a change, longer barrel and a bit heavier but also a tack driver, it did change my luck, dropped this spike with 1 shot at 165 yds down a logging rd. That little 117gr pill is deadly
