I asked the same thing a while back. Apparently there were almost as many registered auto-sears as FNCs imported so that you'd have to crazy to NOT turn it into a full auto and sell it for 5-10x what you paid for it.

A neat gun I would love to have. I hear from people who own both that there is a lot of the FNC in the SCAR...
