I use Metaloy , they charge around $115 for a 1911 and 1 mag . I looked into the black chrome once [I think it was called "Enduraguard Black Chrome"] and was told by the finisher that it was more of a black finish over a satin nickel , they said it was not as durable as the regular hardchrome . I have had around 6 handguns done in hardchrome and have yet to have any problems with rust or discoloration . These are all carried in IWB holsters . Good luck , Mike...
