$12.00 a box!!!! Wow i'm really out of touch with prices. My last couple dozen BRICKS cost less than $10 each, but that was ten years ago. I stocked up on 22's in the mid 90's to about 2005 and centerfires until 2006 or so. I haven't bought any ammo since so although I know prices are higher now, and you're in AK, I was still floored.
The slidefire eating ammo reminded me of the old hellfire trigger thingy. I went through half a case of 7.62X39 trying to perfect the right touch with it. Never did get it right.
