The 9mm Parabellum is the 9X19mm or 9mm Luger. Howeveer, my references list at least 15 different 9mm cartridges that have been produced commercially in the last 100 plus or minus years. At least 8 of these 9mm's(not including the .380 Auto and the .38 Super) are currently being loaded commercially somewhere in the world today.

Common sense safety requires that the only cartridges that should be used in a firearm are the ones for which that firearm is designed.

As George Nonte graphically demonstrated in a Gun digest article many years ago, There are NO interchangable 9mm's.
