These guns are correctly called "vierlings" based on the German word for four. European gunmakers have made them in a variety of combinations of rifle and shotgun calibers. As Dave noted the triggers are often very complex mechanisms but that's pretty common among German makers. Must be the German watchmaking background that makes them so.
