Some states ban carry in banks. Even if the bank wants its patrons to carry, they don't have the authority to "allow" it, as state law would preempt their wishes. There are some similarities in the way the judge is treating the church as an entity.

To be honest, this is a sticky question. I've no doubt that there's an argument to be made for church carry, but we need one that's relatively unassailable.

IIRC, wasn't there something about requiring rifles to be brought to church in the early Virginia constitution?
