That sounds about right to me...that is what I paid retail. I ususally see them for $39 and change around here (SC). I think you will like the G2...I was in Africa in July '04...it is quite dark at night in sounthern Mozambique...when we were out at night, I was glad to have such a powerful light...you will be too I think.
