It's definately not worth it.
When I think I might be attacked I carry a S&W 500, even then I only buy 1 round because they're so expensive, unless I know I'm going to be facing multiple attackers and in those situations - but those situations only, I'll splurge and buy six of the S&W 500 magnums.
