Of the Marlin 60's I've had the misfortune of being around all ran good outta the box but developed issues after time. After that they're a bear to get back right. On the other hand of all the 10/22's I've been around none have ever failed and the nice thing about them is even if they do a monkey could diagnose and fix the problem.

I wish one of you could have told my 10/22 that. I kept that think spotlessly clean, and well lubricated and it was a stove-piping nightmare with every mag I owned and every brand of ammo I tried.
Traded up for a Model 60 and never looked back. A few thousand rounds later, with regular cleaning, and I cant even remember the last time my '60 jammed. Far more accurate than the 10/22 as well, with a much better trigger.
