Powder for 270 Winchester

As some of you may remember, my early 80's Nickle Plated 12" Ned Buntline Commerative that I had for 25 years is no longer a safe queen.

Well, my 1952 Winchester Model 70 in 270 with Weaver El Paso 2 3/4 X 5 that I've had for 25 years is no longer going to be one, either. The rifle is bonafied 98% and I did shoot it once when I bought it.

I've got Sierra 90 grain Varminter hollow points that just came in, the 20 old brass cases from the only time I shot it way back when and my buddy has some new Reloader 15 powder that he will lend me to load up a box on the Lee Loader that came with it when I bought the rifle.

I called Alliant and Sierra and got the recipe (sp).

Start, 45.5 grains Reloader 15 with a max of 51 grains.

Two questions:

1: Is Reloader 15 a good powder for this?
2. Is it OK to reload those 25 year old once fired brass (Winchester) cases?

Your answers, any thoughts and your favorite loads would be appreciated. Thank you.
