I've never had any issues shooting Taurus firearms. A friend of mine has an older PT92, and I haven't had any issues with my PT1911 (that weren't caused by a VERY cheap magazine that came free as part of a promotion). There will always be poor firearms, but I do not have any experience with horrible handguns that say "Taurus" on the slide. I thought about getting one of the smaller 9mms awhile back, but I ended up going with something else. Taurus' reputation (which from what I have heard is MUCH better) had zero effect on my decision though.
