In a word... no. In fact "Hell No". You can find BATFE advice on this if you search, but here's the skinny:

You can force an AR to follow-fire soft (pistol) primer handloads with a selector set to "full" on one that has the full auto fire control parts. You don't need the full auto bolt carrier to do this either, as it only trips the sear if a sear is installed. So: The fire control parts *alone* are enough to be busted for an illegal machine gun if they are installed, and posession of same along with an AR might be construed as constructive posession. Not good. The BATFE will hand the rifle over to the technical guys, who know *exactly* how to make handloads that will follow fire two shots at least once in your "sample", and off to jail you go.
