get as good a scope as you can afford i like (6.5x20-8.5x25 leupolds), irons are ok if you shoot at big ass targets ,shoot at a 12" target with a 8" bulls eye at 300yds with irons and then with your scope, and you will see what i mean. i shoot both irons and scopes in different matches and like them both,but the scopes offer better hits on smaller targets. eastbank
