Even further expanding the versitility of this round, I sometimes put a .22 cal air rifle pellet in the mouth of a primed .22 Hornet round, no powder. Good for indoor plinking fun and about as loud as dry firing the rifle. My chronograph measures about 350 fps. Probably not powerful enough for humane kills on tree rats.
