I have a purple (Davis) Cobra that can't be completely racked. I've traced the problem to the slide bumper pad/spring. It's simply too stiff to allow full travel of the slide. Can this spring/bumper be removed without damage to the gun? Wife bought it as a show piece (purple) but we would like to fire it a little.
