I have never heard of anybody having problems with Mossberg's Customer Service. I have even heard of one guy that sent in an "old" model 500 to be fixed that was well out of warranty. The gun came back fixed free of charge with a note saying sorry and thank you. Call them up, they'll probably ask you to send it in for evaluation....
