* Howas shoot very well and cost a bunch less than the Remington. Weatherby Vanguard is the same rifle with a different colored stock.
* Rugers are controlled-round-feed, which is nice in a hunting rifle.
* Remington 700 is a good rifle.
* Savages typically shoot very well if you can get past their looks.
