Personally, I love the Glocks. But for the .45, I chose the XD-45 over the Glock 21. The XD has a fully-supported chamber which allows you to fire high-pressure +P and/or +P+ ammunition through it.

The one thing I like better about the G21 is there is less take up in the trigger than in the XD as well as a better (quicker) reset.
