Man, these are two of my all-time favorite calibers. I'm afraid a new rifle is in order, as your .30-06 just isn't going to cut it for moose.
I think I'd opt for the Whelen and a couple of boxes of the 310-gr. Woodleigh Weldcore loading from Double Tap. That would definitely leave a mark on any moose.
