Nothing with keep it completed safe from corrosion, unless you take certain steps to prevent it. Never ever put a gun into a gun case after it's been exposed to any moisture (e.g. rain, snow). It's better to tear it down and fully wipe down and let it dry before assembling and storing, even if you are only driving for a short while.
