The SF (Short Frame) designation means that the grip is shorter from front to back, has nothing to do with the width. That being said, I have a G29SF, and a G30. The two grips are inter-changeable. I can tell no discernible difference between the two.
The G30 grip width is quite a bit wider (not necessarily on paper) but it real life carry applications between the G30/G29 and the G26/27/33.
