A 1911 for years when I was in Law enforcement.
After 17 years as a reserve Deputy Sheriff and I was a Paramedic for the department the 1911 never got in my way.

Now I carry a Glock 17 Gen 1 just because I had it and didn't need to buy anything else. I do have 40+ magazines for it put thousands of rounds through it. No problems.
