Mike U -- that's a very unfair comparison as the Brenneke only go to 3"...

Recoil is always heavier in slug or buckshot loads (unless specific for HD/LEO use) as the intended target is usually larger and heavier then a 6 oz woodcock...It's because of the extra powder...

I½ oz over 4 drams will recoil the same regardless if it is buck or bird shot or a slug...regardless of manufacturer and material of the shot...basic laws of physics apply...How they perform after leaving the barrel is another matter all together...
Unfair to compare a 3" against a 3.5", true enough, and something I hadn't considered. Thanks for pointing it out.
